The Historic Berkeley Mill Village was built in 1872 by the Lonsdale Company (descending from the Brown and Ives corporation of Brown University fame). The construction of the mill was the
finest of its time including post and beam southern yellow pine, brick, and granite. The mill runs alongside the Providence and Worcester Rail Line, and was home to the production of the finest class of cotton goods, cambric muslins, and fine shirtings. The Berekely Business Center is in close proximity to Rte 295 (1.5 miles), Rte 95 (4.7 miles via 295), and Rte 146 (2 miles). It is centrally located between Providence, RI (15 min.) and Boston, MA (50 min.). There are many restaurants and service businesses within minutes of the site. The Blackstone River bike path and park is within walking distance for outdoor enthusiasts. Phase 1 of renovations will include a building entrance foyer and elevators, maximized parking, new truck flow & dock management, and 33,500 sf. of newly renovated 4th floor space available.
